I envy your mirror
It can see you more than I do
I envy the walls
For your secrets they listen to
I envy your bed
It can feel your breath at night
I envy your pillow
For it can hold you tight
I envy the streets
As you pass by them everyday
I envy the sweat
That your skin washes away
I envy your shirts
They closely see your heart
And I will keep envying them all
Until we’re no longer apart…
