Another Badge from Google to my Knol's Essay!

Today, I opened my essay on Knol and I found that I got another badge from Google for having the most visitors جائزة اعلى نسبة عرض :D

Winning a Prize in Google's Knol Oktob Competition

As you may know from my previous posts, I have taken part at the Google's Knol Oktob Competition that was held at Alexandria University..

I've written this post about my participating essay in the competition

The essay also has received a quality badge from Google

And today, I received a prize at the awards ceremony that was held at the Great Hall of Bibliotheca Alexandrina...



I'm so glad for that prize :) .. I came among the top 100 best essays from a total of 1649 essays that took part in the competition from Alexandria University students.. !

I liked the event, although it started 45 minutes late, but I managed to take nice pics!

I love this pic with Mr Wael Fakharany, Director of Google Egypt and the Middle East, who's such a very modest, interesting and amazing person who I was so honoured to meet!



Thanks to all those who took time to vote, read or comment on my essay.. :)

Also, congratulations to the Faculty of Engineering Team that publicized the competition for being the top winning team among all the faculties of Alexandria.. They were really great!!

I'm really so happy and so honored with that.. Even though it's a simple online appreciation, it means a lot to me because it's the first time I receive any recognition for writing in Arabic... I really can't wait to see if this essay will win anything at the Oktob awards. I hope so!

Google's Oktob Competition

I'm participating in Google's Oktob Competition .. Oktob means "write" in Arabic..
The competition aims at encouraging university students to write on the knol website of google in order to increase the Arabic content on the Internet..

Alexandria University is hosting this competition, and we're required to write an essay in Arabic about anything concerning our university major and publish it on www.alexknol.com

The winner is determined by a panel of judges, as well as the ratings, comments and number of views of the essay by other users..

So, please take time to visit my essay and RATE it, and you could write a comment about it if you want.. :)
