As I Listened to Every Word

I wept as I listened to every word;
I was moved by all what I heard,
Sorrow filled my little heart,
My insides felt so torn apart…
Rivers of tears ran down my face,
I recalled every memory and place,
I recalled the heaven I lived in,
The happiness I had deep within.
And now all what I have is fear,
And worry, as you’re not here;
You don’t want to talk to me,
You don’t want to hear me,
I keep wondering, what you do,
I wish to hear news about you…


I wept more as I listened to every word;
I couldn’t bear all what I heard,
I couldn’t listen to this love song,
I can’t forget you, I still to you long.
And as the music filled my ears,
I saw before me many happy years,
With you, sharing, laughing, dreaming;
My future suddenly seemed gleaming…


But all these were simply dreams,
I can’t make any of them come true,
The road is as tough as it seems,
Will I ever be able to reach you?
